Sparth Community Centre provides a wide range of services, not only to local residents, but to the wider community as well. These services include:

  • Phone calls to the local authority, utility/other companies, etc.
  • Help with completing benefit forms, passport applications, etc.
  • Letter writing and typing
  • Assistance with reading/understanding letters
  • Help with benefit/housing/other enquiries
  • Counselling and one-to-one support

We regret staff are unable to provide legal advice, or to help with complex issues such as benefit appeals and immigration. We have also been advised by Job Centre Plus Centre staff should not be helping residents to complete applications for such benefits as Employment Support Allowance (ESA ~ formerly Incapacity Benefit/Disability Living Allowance), however, staff can make an appointment with Job Centre Plus for anyone who needs help completing an application.

The Centre can also provide a number of other services, including: photocopying, laminating, faxes and use of the internet - current prices are displayed in the Centre's community office.
